Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Distinguished Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman, who has many papers and grants to her name, is also the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the world on policies and research on child abuse in the justice system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
